Ways to connect

Connect your jobs

Already advertise your roles somewhere else? Give us the address once and your live roles appear for local residents, kept in step with your own site. No developer and no new system to learn. Live

Set it up

  1. Sign in with an employer, recruiter or training provider account and open Connect your jobs in your dashboard. Our team can also do this on your behalf.
  2. If your account has no company profile yet, type your company name. We create the profile for you, so you do not need to finish one first.
  3. Paste one address: your careers page, your ATS job board or a job feed. Press Preview. We tell you what we found (for example "Greenhouse board" or "XML job feed") and show a sample of the roles we can read.
  4. Optionally give the connection a name, the borough your roles are in, and a category.
  5. Press Connect. You get an email confirming what happens next.

Going live

We only publish roles from a site we are confident is yours. If the address is on the same domain as the verified email address you signed in with (you sign in as [email protected] and connect careers.acme.co.uk), the connection is verified straight away and the first import starts at once. Otherwise our team checks it first, usually within a working day, and the roles go live when it is approved.

What you can connect

  • You have
    An ATS job board
    Paste
The public board address, for example boards.greenhouse.io/acme or acme.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/careers.
    How we read it
Through the board's own public listing where there is one. Recognised today: Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Pinpoint, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Personio, BambooHR, Oracle Recruiting, iTrent and others.
  • You have
A careers page on your own site
    Paste
The page that lists your roles, for example acme.co.uk/careers.
    How we read it
From structured job data on the page if it has it, otherwise from the page itself.
  • You have
    A job feed
    Paste
The feed address, for example acme.co.uk/jobs.xml.
    How we read it
    Field by field. See below.

Job feeds and structured data

A feed is the most reliable way in, because every field arrives labelled. We read:

  • XML job feeds in the widely used <job> layout that most ATSs can publish, plus RSS (
) and Atom (
) feeds. An address ending in .xml or .rss, a path containing /feed, /rss or /xml, or a ?format=xml parameter is treated as a feed. Up to 500 roles per feed.
  • Structured job data: careers pages that carry schema.org JobPosting in a block, the same markup search engines use for job listings. One role per page or a list of them.
A minimal XML feed we can read

  <job>

Site Carpenter

    <referencenumber>ACME-1042</referencenumber>

https://careers.acme.co.uk/jobs/1042

    <company>Acme Construction</company>
    <city>London</city>
    <postalcode>SE1 3XX</postalcode>

Second-fix carpentry on a residential block.

    <salary>£38,000 to £44,000</salary>
    <expirationdate>2027-03-31</expirationdate>
  </job>

Keeping in step

  • We read every connected address again twice a day, morning and evening, and refresh the roles we hold.
  • A role you take down on your own site comes down here too: usually within a day, through our daily check that each role's link still works, and at most within about a week.
  • If we fail to read an address three times in a row, we email you so you can check the link.
  • Disconnect an address from the same page at any time. The roles imported from it are removed with it.

Where the roles appear

Once the connection is verified, your roles appear in search on the platform, on your careers page (including on your own domain) and in a jobs widget filtered to your organisation. Residents who choose one go through a short step on the platform that records their interest, then on to your own apply page, so your hiring process does not change. Connected roles are not added to our job board feeds, which carry only roles posted on the platform. A connection waiting for review, or one you have disconnected, shows nothing anywhere.

Two-way ATS connection

Coming A two-way connection is being built: applications made on the platform delivered into your ATS, and hires sent back to us as evidence against your commitments without anyone re-keying them. It is not available yet. Today the connection runs one way, from your site to us.

Questions

Do I need a developer?

No. If you can copy the address of the page where your roles are listed, you can connect it.

My preview found no roles. What now?

Some careers pages draw their listings with scripts after the page loads, which we cannot always see. Try, in order:

  • The address of your ATS board itself, rather than the page on your site that embeds it.
  • A job feed, if your ATS can publish one (look for "XML feed" or "job board feed" in its settings).
  • Telling us the address. We can often add a reader for it.
It says "You have already connected this URL".

Each address can be connected once per company. Check the list of connected sources under the form.

Why is my connection waiting for review?

Because the address is not on the same domain as the verified email address you signed in with. That is normal for an ATS board on the ATS's own domain. Our team approves it, usually within a working day.

Will residents apply through the platform?

No, connected roles send them to your apply page. If you want applications recorded on the platform, post the role in your dashboard instead, or talk to us.
